Before you can start learning about starting and running a business, you must first understand the nature of money.
Sadly, other than how to trade time for dollars, and how to spend what they made, most people don't really know how money works. Merriam-Webster defines money as "something generally accepted as a medium of exchange, a measure of value, or a means of payment".
Most people are familiar with this definition of money, and for a significant segment of the population, this is the way they understand SPENDING money. A majority of people don't also apply this definition to how they MAKE money. Yet it's true. Most people make money by exchanging their time for it. When starting a business, it's important to realize that TIME is the ultimate currency, and that to truly be successful, one has to learn how to leverage time effectively. |
